On August 25, 2006, CMS announced that it will host its third annual Medicare Provider Feedback Group Town Hall meeting. The meeting is designed to "solicit the opinions of individual Medicare physicians, providers, and suppliers on selected policies and operational issues that affect providers that participate in the Medicare program." Selected topics include "but are not limited to" the National Provider Identifier (NPI) program, Pay for performance initiative, Part D Compliance, and other issues.  Input as to how the Medicare Program may be improved will also be solicited from the participants.

All providers and suppliers (including third party billing companies) are invited to participate. While in-person attendance in Baltimore is permitted, CMS has also made the meeting available as a teleconference. The meeting will be held on September 20, 2006, from 2:00 to 4:00 EST. The dial-in number is 1-877-357-7851. The conference ID number is 2323964. Don’t miss this prime opportunity to voice your opinion about your largest payor – Medicare!
